Every January, our team gathers for an essential tradition: a review, development, and forecasting meeting. It’s a moment to reflect on the past year’s achievements, challenges, and lessons while setting a strong foundation for the year ahead. This year, we took our January meeting to the next level with a memorable and inspiring experience at The Grand in York City Centre.
On January 7th, we headed to The Grand’s renowned cooking school for a day designed to blend personal development, team bonding, and business strategy.
The morning kicked off with “The Ultimate Sunday Lunch” cookery class, led by the school’s fantastic director and chef. While the menu may sound simple, the tricks, tips, and techniques we learned were nothing short of transformative. From perfecting the roast to mastering delicate sauces, the session was both educational and delicious.
Working together in the kitchen brought out the best in our team. Collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving came to the fore as we prepared and cooked our meals. The result? A shared feast of our own creation that was as rewarding to enjoy as it was to prepare.
After lunch, we shifted gears for the afternoon session of presentations and strategic discussions. Fuelled by the morning’s energy and camaraderie, we delved into reviewing the successes and lessons of the past year.
Together, we crafted plans and set ambitious goals for the months ahead, focused on growth, innovation, and delivering even more value to our clients and partners.
The combination of practical learning, team connection, and strategic planning made this year’s January meeting a standout experience.
The setting at The Grand’s cooking school provided the perfect environment to mix creativity and focus, proving that growth isn’t just about business—it’s about learning and working together in new and inspiring ways.
Here’s to a year of continued learning, collaboration, and success! If you’re looking for a unique team-building activity, we can’t recommend The Grand’s cooking school highly enough.
