At Mobile Retail, we believe that great coffee doesn’t just energise, it brings people together. That’s why we were proud to support the amazing team at BBC DIY SOS during their recent Big Build in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire.
Each day during the build, we were on-site serving free coffee and hot drinks for 2–3 hours, using one of our flagship Premium Pod Conversions. The response was incredible, we served between 180 and 350 drinks per day to volunteers, crew members, and supporters.
Had this been a trading event, that kind of footfall could have generated £576 to £1,225 in daily revenue, based on typical retail prices of £3.20-£3.50 per drink. It’s a powerful real-world example of what a Mobile Retail Premium Pod can achieve in just a few hours of trading per day, highlighting the strong earning potential for anyone running a coffee business from one of our units.
A True Team Effort
This initiative brought out the best in our business – the whole team got involved. From our baristas to behind-the-scenes support, everyone played their part in keeping the coffee flowing and the morale high. It was an honour to be part of something so meaningful.
Why We Got Involved
As a business rooted in community values, we saw this as an opportunity to give something back using what we do best. When we heard DIY SOS was coming to Beverley, we knew our Premium Pod, and our people, could play a small but valuable role in supporting the incredible work being done.
A Shared Mission
Whether you’re building homes or serving flat whites, it’s all about community, passion, and
people. Watching volunteers come together with such purpose was truly inspiring, and we were grateful to be even a small part of it.
A huge thank you to the DIY SOS team, the volunteers, and everyone who stopped by for a coffee. Your hard work and generosity were genuinely inspiring.
