A compact trailer to serve busy crowds

Josh and Jamie, long time partners and parents, decided to push the boat out during lockdown #1. Initially, they enquired about investing in a mobile coffee business and after a few conversations became interested in having this in one of our Pods.

Our production team advised on the best equipment for their needs and our expert designers helped with branding and marketing.

What we did

We believe the catering Pod is the perfect partner for their venture; it’s compact, quirky and can be pulled by most family cars. Weighing in at less than 750kg, you don’t even need your trailer test.

Josh chose a Fracino Contempo Dual fuel coffee machine, which gave him the ability to keep up with busy crowds, trading from the street in the week and from festivals and events on a weekend. We manufactured and fitted a bespoke light-up coffee sign, the first iteration of what has been a very popular choice with customers ever since. Alongside the coffee machine, we installed a pitcher rinser – a crucial element in making the best coffee – and an under-counter display fridge to chill extra milk and beverages.

Against the odds – a house move, a pregnancy and everything else that happened in 2020! – they launched on February 1st 2021, just a week before the arrival of their new baby – and still in the middle of lockdown #3.

After two years of serving loyal customers in Canterbury, they are now taking the exciting step of moving into events catering.

Great working with you guys. Always available to answer any questions about our new Pod and they are clearly very experienced which makes it all much easier. I look forward to ordering the next one soon.
